My name is Jontae! I have been in the cosmetology industry since 2003! I have an EXTREME passion for haircare! I specialize in Natural hair care and styling but I am thoroughly qualified and equipped to service my very diverse clientele that ranges from natural to relaxed, short to long, mature to contemporary, male and female, and also to include locs, color-treated, and extension services. My work has been published in Hair n Motion magazine, and Black Hair Sophisticates Magazine along with a step by step tutorial and inserts from an interview.
Over the years I strive to stay at the forefront of this industry by staying involved in the trade shows and continuing education classes! I have earned my senior cosmetology and barbering licenses, as well as my certification as a hair loss specialist. I am thoroughly devoted to perfecting my craft through continued education and creating YOUR look with HEALTHY hair! I am a member of a prestige group of professionals, the National Beauty Culturist League, and am working on earning my Master's degree in Cosmetology studies!
As an educator, I have taught at the Brand Building Expo in Silver Spring MD, The Bronner Brothers hair show in Atlanta, and have orchestrated classes on my own in the DMV area. I have been given an amazing opportunity to serve the MD Board of Cosmetology as a sponsor in their apprenticeship program where I am able to guide an up and coming stylist! I am also the creator of Mahoganii L.O.C.S. Loc n Twist Puddin! Where LOCS stands for Lovin On Curly Strands! This product was created to fill the void in the natural hair community for a product that gives the results our community desires as well as provides nourishment to the scalp and every strand it bears!
Not only am I creative BEYOND restraint, and EXTREMELY knowledgeable, but I pride my self in offering Exceptional Customer service and professionalism! I create the ultimate experience for my clients and always careful to never compromise the integrity of the hair.
